How Qatar fuel pricing works
Qatar removed retail fuel subsidies in May 2015. Since September 2017, QatarEnergy publishes monthly retail fuel prices, applied uniformly at all Woqod stations. In Qatar, Premium denotes the 91-octane grade and Super denotes 95-octane.
Worked example
A Doha commute of 80 km/day × 22 working days = 1,760 km/month. A typical sedan at 9 L/100km uses 158 L/month. At Super 95 (QAR 2.10): QAR 332 per month, QAR 3,981 per year.
